Yes, you will be able to switch on/off your AC, adjust the temperature and its fan speed from wherever in the world you have access to the Internet on your smartphone.

You will able to control your AC with your voice if you have a voice assistant such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

The above apps can be enabled for free on your phone.

For deeper convenience, you can purchase a Google Home Mini or Amazon Echo Dot smart speaker which are available for AED 80-90 /-. This would mean that you wouldn’t even need to use your phone to control your AC, just your voice to communicate with your smart speaker!

The Osmostat is designed to work on line voltage (95V-240V) FCU (Fan Coil Unit) systems, which is a widely used standard in cooling systems across the Middle East, particularly in Dubai.

This Smart WiFi Thermostat has the distinct, versatile quality of being able to work with both modulating and non-modulating cooling valve controls in chilled water and DX central AC systems as well as fully-packaged split unit FCU’s.

For added certainty, please contact us and provide us with your address as we can verify through our database if it’s compatible with the AC systems in the project that you live in.

We will schedule a free compatibility check with our technical staff at your home/office on the off-chance that we do not have prior information of your project. =)

For a limited stock of units of the product launch, we will be providing free delivery & installation for a minimum order of 2 units of the Osmostat!

You may get in touch with us then and we will provide the service of transferring your Osmostat’s to your new home/office (as long as it is in Dubai) for a nominal, min. fee of AED 270 per unit. Included in this service will be the replacement of your old thermostats in your old home/office before you move out. Additional costs may apply if customized configuration works are needed at the new vicinity.

For those who only need their old thermostats to be replaced while keeping their Osmostat’s in their personal possessions, we offer the service at simply AED 180 per unit.

The following answer applies especially to those who do not already own a smart thermostat and to an extent, even those who do have smart thermostats of a different type.

Firstly, you will no longer need to reach for your thermostat to control your AC anymore. You can use your smartphone or even just your voice to control it.

You can control it from anywhere with access to the internet, even a different country, which means you no longer have to be home to ensure you’ve switched off your AC to save your bills.

You can also programme your AC to turn on/off based on other conditions such as the time, if you’re connected to your home WiFi (which means when you’re home or out) or according to the use of another device, for example your fan.

This essentially leads to a life where you’re free from physical and mental constraints, associated with reaching for a control device usually far from your arm’s reach or constantly minding your consumption to save energy costs, so that you effortlessly end up being a conscientious dweller of Earth.
